American Style
The American Style is a social style of dancing
created by dancers in the United States. The steps
are designed for beginners to learn to dance quickly
and easily. A beginner should be able to dance to
an entire song after just one group or private lesson.
At higher levels the American Style is also done in
competitions and exhibitions. The dances taught in
the American Style include Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango,
Viennese Waltz, Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Bolero,
Mambo/Salsa, Merengue, East Coast Swing
and
West Coast Swing.
